Community and Review Guidelines

What we expect from reviews, price reports and other contributions on FASHIONDEALS, how we moderate and how to appeal.

Draft for legal review. This document was written by the FASHIONDEALS team to describe how the service actually works. It has not yet been reviewed by external counsel and is not legal advice. We recommend that a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction review it, and that the items in [[brackets]] (company details and points marked [[Confirm with FASHN]]) are completed before launch.

Why we have guidelines

Shoppers rely on honest reviews, store feedback and price reports. These guidelines keep contributions useful, fair and safe. They apply to anything you submit: reviews, ratings, price corrections, messages and photos.

What to do

  • Share your own genuine experience of a product or store, and say when you received a gift or incentive.
  • Be specific and polite; describe fit, quality, delivery and returns.
  • Report wrong prices or listings with the page address and the price you saw at the store.

What not to do

  • No fake, paid, incentivised-without-disclosure or competitor reviews, and no review swaps.
  • No hate speech, harassment, threats, discrimination or personal attacks on people or staff.
  • No personal data about others, no contact details, no links that sell or advertise, no spam.
  • No unlawful, explicit or misleading content, and no content that infringes someone’s rights.
  • No photos of other people without their consent; no photos of children.

How we moderate

We use a mix of automated checks and human review. We may hold, edit for clarity, or remove contributions that break these guidelines or the law. We do not remove reviews because they are critical of a store or brand, and stores cannot pay to remove or change reviews. We may remove an account that repeatedly breaks the rules.

Store ratings on the leaderboard

Ratings used in store reputation scores come from public platforms, not from FASHIONDEALS user reviews unless we say so; see Store score methodology.

Reporting and appeals

Use “Report” on a contribution or email [[Contact email]]. If we remove your content, we tell you why and you can appeal by replying to our message; we review appeals within a reasonable time. Illegal content can also be reported under the Takedown policy.
